Mindful Awareness Academy for Children: $7000 for their “Press Submit Summer Bootcamp” college readiness program.
Montclair Neighborhood Development Corporation: $10,000 for girls’ participation in Project Oasis, their six-week summer program.
The Side Door at Union Congregational Church: $5000 for their Friday afternoon middle-school drop-in program.
Volunteer Lawyers for Justice: $8000 for their “Children’s Representation Program”, providing free legal services to the parents/guardians of children who are not receiving mandated services.
We’ve Got Friends: $3500 for their Montclair-based Social Hangouts for children and youth with special needs.

Independence: A Family of Services: $12,500 to support the Sankofa Literacy Program and general operating support for the East Orange Family Success Center.
Family Promise (formerly Interfaith Hospitality Network): $15,000 to support case management for families in transition to permanent housing, as well as the After School Program, focusing on educational enrichment.
Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence: $5000 for their Peer-led Educational Engagement Program (PEEPs), a new initiative to support students who are struggling with distance learning by providing individualized peer support.
Succeed2gether: $5,000 to support the development of a program to provide middle- and high-school girls of color with one-on-one services to insure their passage to college and beyond.
Toni’s Kitchen: $10,000 to support the procurement and distribution of food and meals during the COVID pandemic. This was part of a larger, coordinated matching grant with the Township of Montclair, Partners for Health and The Schumann Fund. The match was exceeded through contributions from local citizens.
YWCA of Union County: $3,000 to support legal advocacy for women impacted by domestic violence.
